[Brief] “How can intelligent design thinking help support the scale up of War Child Holland’s Can’t Wait To Learn Programme in Sudan.
[Context & Issue] War Child is a charity that provide education to children who have been displaced by conflict and do not have access to conventional education. They electronic tablets which are loaded with specially designed educational programmes.
The Tablet Charging Unit currently used costs approx. £800, which is a huge barrier to War Child being able to scale up operations.
[Brief] Design a recharging station that provides secure storage for thirty 10.1” tablet devices.
[Proposal] Offers an 8x cost reduction per unit, creates local employment with minimal tooling required. My prototype is currently being trialled by War Child in Sudan.
